The Exotic of Parangtritis Beach

Parangtritis Beach is one of the special tourism of Jogja. It is located 27 kilometers south of Yogyakarta City and needed one hour to go there. Parangtritis also known as unique beach because t has a largest sand dune in South East Asia. Uniqueness of this sand dune attracts the researcher from Indonesia and other countries to come.



To access this beach is quite easy. The road infrastructure is goog enough so some tourist may ride their private car or common transportation to go there. As a special tourism destination, many tour and travel make Parangtritis Beach as one of their Jogja tour package.



A beautiful landscape at twilight makes this beach more and more exotic. So many tourists mostly come at twilight to enjoy the sunset, specially at the weekend. Parangtritis Beach not only offering exotic nature landscape but also the great adventures. The tourist may rent ATV or horse to go around the beach.

Recently, there appeare a sand boarding community but the activity hasn't scheduled yet because the sand dune always move.

" The most interesting view is sunset. We can't enjoy sunrise because mountain range cover up the sun at the east," warno said, one of the retribution employe of Parangtritis Beach.

The retribution ticket at Parangtritis is quite cheap, only Rp 5.000. The parking ticket for motorbike Rp 2.000 and for car Rp 5.000. For you who want to spend the holiday, you may  choose hotel, homestay, inn and others. To stay for one night, there's some price you can choose, start from cheap one.
